This was designed to be a large attack spell for rpg / magic games. It is also my first time using distortion in my effects and I think I will be using it a bit more in the future.
As for the effect. I have reused one shader with disintegration and bloom parameters on all the circles and some simple bloom shaders for the stars around it. The circle itself was drawn in FireAlpaca and then exported as individual layers. The timing of the effect took some time to feel right but I am satisfied with it.
